Managing member’s complete recovery experience is part of the every member’s program at Grace Recovery ATX. Each member is assigned a personal Recovery Coach. Working closely with clinicians, therapists, family, community resources and the member, Recovery Coaches track progress, verify treatment plans are followed and assure recovery goals are met.
The Recovery Coach ensures clear open channels between all involved and follows through when issues arise. Most importantly, Grace’s Recovery Coaches deliver trusted guidance when the member is unsure of their path. Grace’s Recovery Coaches are passionate about empowering members to regain control over their lives and firmly believe that everyone is entitled to live a positive, productive and healthy life in recovery.
Every woman accepted into Grace Recovery ATX will receive one-on-one Recovery Coaching from one of Grace Recovery’s Peer Recovery Coaches. During the weekly meeting coaches will assist women as they begin establishing their new sober life, in all domains.
What we often see when women first move into our program is they don’t know where to begin. Grace coaches will start by identifying short and long term goals, present struggles and hurdles, hopes and goals and solutions when needed. Often times when a woman enters treatment there are a lot of unknowns when she is discharged. Grace Recovery Coaches will assist in all life domains and address areas that need guidance, assistance and/or professional resources.
Grace Recovery coaches are a combination of training and lived experiences. Recovery coaches are however different from a therapist, sponsor or medical expertise. She may act like a friend in supporting your recovery, but she has all the knowledge and tools needed to be successful. A Recovery Coach is not someone going through recovery and learning as she goes. Training, along with lived experience, allows the coaches to truly understand what it feels like to be in the same shoes.
Grace Recovery coaches handle life in the present and assist in all areas of life to help every woman re-establish purpose, direction and drive. She will not be concerned with the past. Deep emotional issues will not be covered in the sessions, however, if deep emotional issues are blocking a woman from moving forward in their lives coaches will ensure that the proper professionals are brought in to assist in those areas. Recovery Coaches help you make good decisions moving forward.
When a woman enters sober living there is a reason she is there. That Reason typically stems around not making the best, healthy, productive choices for the future. Grace coaches understand that we are all human and no one can be perfect. The bond developed with a Grace Coach will create a safe place to discuss challenges and worries that may be holding a woman back from moving forward in her recovery.
Purpose and connection is key in recovery. Grace coaches are trained to help women focus on taking back control of their lives by finding a passion and a purpose. Grace coaches are very well informed on local and national resources and have a committed interest to help “problem solve” along the way. It’s important to remember that 9/10 times a womans coach was in the exact shoes several years prior. Grace coaches come with knowledge, expertise, compassion, empathy, patience and grit. They will fight alongside you, even when it may seem too hard to fight. Perseverance and resilience is the end goal.
Everyone’s life is worth the fight!
